Great ambiance and closed to Grand central hence at a great location. Will be a good date night or if you were celebrating something.

My favorite spot for breakfast in the city, I've been dining at Pershing Square for over 20 years and they remain incredibly consistent. My wife and I had Christmas Eve Brunch at Pershing Square to start our holiday celebration. As always, the service was exceptional, the atmosphere was energetic and the food was delicious. I went with my favorite, Belgium Waffles with berries and a side of bacon. The berries were all fresh, in fact the blackberries were enormous in size and flavor. The bacon was just the right amount of chewy and crisp. And the coffee is our perfection. Only negative was that they didn't top off my coffee, but in the end maybe that was a good thing The atmosphere here is very warm and friendly. The cafe is under the Park Avenue viaduct, across from the main entrance to Grand Central Station along 42nd street. If you're a tourist (as we were before moving here in 2011), brunch here is a must!

If you are in a rush and hungry either before getting on a train or after arriving on one, this is a decent ( though expensive) stop for breakfast or brunch. The food is solid and the service is quick.

We were in the vicinity of Grand Central and in the mood for a late breakfast. Pershing Square offers fast service, tasty dishes, and interesting architecture. The breakfast menu is available 7AM - 11:45AM, Monday to Friday. Our waiter arrived promptly, and we shared: * EGGS BENEDICT $20: Canadian bacon, English muffin, hollandaise, house salad * FRESH FRUIT BOWL $15: Fresh seasonal fruit The Eggs Benedict was very good, the egg was nicely cooked, and the dish was well executed. Most of the fruit was good, some of the melon was not sufficiently ripe. We also ordered one iced tea, for a total bill of $44. Overall, a good, fast breakfast worthy of a four-star rating.

Stopped in for a drink around rush hour . Had the Vanderbilt drink with gin ( you can get it with vodka too.) It had strawberry and rosemary and ginger I believe. Pretty good. I decided to get it since we're right near Vanderbilt Avenue here. I think a lot of solo flyers come in and sit at the bar to get a drink before going across the street to Grand Central Station , as I did . I didn't get food but there were definitely people at tables eating. Staff are really friendly and professional. Dark and calming atmosphere.

Solid salmon eggs benedict, pretty well balanced with a nice salad. The bacon and the potatoes others said were very good - I'll be back to try! Very busy - lots of business breakfast meetings here. Make sure you do a reservation.

I'm a huge fan of going to places that are in movies or tv shows. I saw Pershing Square in the 2011 movie "Friends with Benefits" starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. The very last scene of the movie shows them dining inside the restaurant. Pershing Square is located under the bridge right outside Grand Central Station. I made my cousin make a quick stop with me here during our NYC trip. The front portion is a cafe, and the back is a sit-down restaurant and bar. I just had a simple cappuccino and pastry to enjoy before we went ice skating at Rockefeller. Service was decent and it's a really cute place inside. I didn't get a chance to look at their restaurant's dining menu but the place looked good. I'll try to sit down for a meal next time I'm in the area.
